How I got Started
Being the cynic that I am, I didn’t immediately believe Gina’s claims of personal success as a freelance writer, let alone the idea that she could help me become a successful writer as well. I developed an interest in her course 30 Days or Less to Freelance Writing Success. After determining that she was, in fact, a renowned freelance writer, and wasn’t a scam artist or a member of the Illuminati, I clicked the button to sign up.
It was the right decision.
Gina’s course covered a lot of basic writing techniques, an overview of how the freelancing industry works, and valuable resources that I use every day. She helped me set attainable goals, and land my first paid writing gig before I had even finished the course.
When I was given the opportunity to read a pre-release copy of Make Money As A Freelance Writer: 7 Simple Steps to Start Your Freelance Writing Business and Earn Your First $1,000, co-written by Gina and fellow success story Sally Miller, I didn’t hesitate. At the very least it would act as a great refresher.
The book did not disappoint. Make Money As A Freelance Writer offers a high-level overview of the freelancing in today’s economy and tips and tricks for overcoming your fears and business references all with a casual yet knowledgeable tone that makes the book easy to read.
I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in becoming a freelance writer and is willing to spend $5 to get started. Yes, you read that right.
